Get in Touch

Hampton Busted Mugshots is a private reference site, not a government office. We cannot confirm custody or release, post bond, retrieve an official booking record, or act for a person in a case. Use the government office that maintains the information instead.

Use the Office That Holds the Record

Hampton’s Police Division, Sheriff, courts, and state systems do different jobs. A Hampton Police P2C entry is a police-event record, not proof of present custody. Start with the route below that matches the question, and provide a name, date, case number, or other identifying information when the office requests it.

Present local custody

For a time-sensitive local-custody question, call Hampton Adult Intake, 236 N. King St., Hampton, VA 23669, at 757-727-6596. The Hampton Sheriff’s Office, led by Sheriff Karen E. Bowden, is also the local corrections contact at 757-926-2540. These are confirmation routes, not public booking-photo portals.

Sheriff-held records and FOIA

For an existing Sheriff-held record, use the Hampton Sheriff’s Office FOIA route: physical address 135 High Court Lane, Hampton, VA 23661; mailing address 1928 W. Pembroke Ave., Hampton, VA 23669; telephone 757-926-2540. City sources display differing Sheriff mailing ZIPs, so call before sending a time-sensitive request.

City records and booking requests

For a City-held record or an identified adult booking record, file through Hampton GovQA or contact the City FOIA Office at 22 Lincoln St., Hampton, VA 23669, 757-727-6533. Hampton describes a five-business-day response framework and actual-cost charges, with a possible deposit when the estimated cost exceeds $200. Virginia FOIA procedure is set out in Va. Code § 2.2-3704.

Police reports and event information

For a police report, use the Hampton Police Central Records Unit, 40 Lincoln St., Hampton, VA 23669, 757-727-6540, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Its listed fees are $0 for an incident-report copy and $10 for an accident report, not a published booking-photo fee. The Hampton Police Division non-emergency number is 757-727-6111. For a recent police event, use the official P2C Daily Bulletin or its multi-day Event Search; neither tool establishes a current jail location.

Court dates, cases, and dispositions

Select Hampton in the Virginia General District Court case-information system for a case search by name, case number, or hearing date. Hampton General District Court is at 236 N. King St., 2nd Floor, Hampton, VA 23669, and its Criminal and Traffic Division is 757-727-6260. For Circuit Court proceedings or an expungement filing, contact Hampton Circuit Court, 237 N. King St., Hampton, VA 23669, at 757-727-6105, or its criminal office at 757-728-3367.

State custody or supervision

For a person in Virginia state custody or supervision, use the Virginia Department of Corrections Inmate & Supervisee Locator. It is not a recent Hampton-arrest tool. For a VADOC-held record, the agency lists FOIA@vadoc.virginia.gov, 804-963-2953, and P.O. Box 26963, Richmond, VA 23261 as its public FOIA contact route.

Federal and immigration detention

Use the Federal Bureau of Prisons Inmate Locator for federal inmates and the ICE Online Detainee Locator System for qualifying ICE or CBP detention searches. These are separate federal systems. They do not confirm a Hampton booking, and neither public locator is described as a local booking-photo source.
